Checking in with confidence off last week’s road win and cover at Akron, Miami will return home and be ready to go when Ohio visits for the 98th version of the “Battle of the Bricks”. Last year, the RedHawks (-7) visited Bobcats Country and got rocked 35-33. This time around, Miami head coach Chuck Martin and his players will return the favor.
At home in this MAC series, the RedHawks have been worth a look notching a respectable 6-4-1 ATS record. Also, inside the friendly confines of Yager Stadium, Miami has been tough to beat posting a powerful 16-1 SU and 11-3 ATS mark in its last 17 contests including a golden 6-0 ATS if it is priced as an underdog or a favorite of -6 or less. Lastly, in Oxford locked into a revenge mode, the RedHawks hold a spotless 6-0 SU and ATS record in their last six tries.
This isn’t the best wagering spot for Ohio either. As a guest tackling an opponent that arrives with momentum off a straight up road win, the Bobcats have really struggled posting a stiff 12-26 SU and 12-35 ATS record. In this run priced as an underdog or a short favorite of -2.5 or less, Ohio falls to a miserable 6-25 SU and 8-23 ATS including an ugly 2-13 SU and ATS if its opponent takes the field off a blowout victory of 14 points or more. Finally, on foreign soil going into revenge, the Bobcats carry a feeble 3-11 ATS record provided it owns a team won/loss percentage of .650 or better.
