In a bad mood off last week’s double overtime loss at TCU, Oklahoma State will return to Stillwater and upend a Texas team that arrives off three consecutive straight up wins over West Virginia, Oklahoma, and Iowa State. Even though Texas likes to run the football, Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian will surely try and attack a Cowboys pass defense that is ranked 126th in the FBS allowing an average of 301.0 yards per game. However, backing a UT squad that is currently on a dismal 13-19 SU and 12-20 ATS run when playing on the road isn’t going to happen anytime soon. In this situation facing a foe that enters without steam off a straight up loss, Texas falls to a feeble 7-13 SU and 6-14 ATS. Also, when priced as a single-digit favorite coming off two or more straight up wins, the Longhorns own a soft 17-26-1 ATS mark including 5-13 ATS provided their opponent owns a team won/loss percentage of .800 or better.
