#648 IOWA (-) over Purdue at 9 PM EST
Back on February 5th, Iowa (+4) traveled to West Lafayette and got absolutely crushed by Purdue 104-68. Head coach Fran McCaffery’s Hawkeyes have been lights out inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena this season posting a jaw-dropping 14-1 SU and 10-2-1 ATS mark this season and they will be well prepared for this revenge war. Let’s take a look inside the numbers.

Sporting a dismal 6-16 SU record in the last 22 meetings (0-3 SU and ATS in the last three), it is obvious that Iowa has experienced a little trouble in this series lately. Thankfully, since February 19th, 2015, the Hawkeyes have been a solid investment at home notching a reliable 68-18 SU and 40-26-4 ATS record. In this run competing with revenge of any kind, Coach McCaffery’s troops improve to a rewarding 20-6 SU and 19-6-1 ATS including a sensational 19-4 SU and ATS in this spot provided their opponent does not enter off a blowout loss of 13 points or more. With those two parameters live and Iowa facing a Big 10 foe that owns a conference won/loss percentage less than .525, this situation cruises to a spectacular 14-0 SU and ATS.

If you want to wager against Purdue, then the time to do it is when the Boilermakers are outside of Mackey Arena. In true road games, PU has lost its steam posting a pathetic 16-30-3 ATS record in its last 49 battles. Provided the Boilers are running against a conference foe this team trend falls to a weak 13-27-3 ATS including a miserable 5-18-3 ATS if they are going into revenge. Even worse, as an underdog battling an opponent that hits the hardwood off two or more pointspread wins, head coach Matt Painters boys have struggled posting a weak 16-57 SU and 28-44-1 ATS mark. In this role fighting a foe that checks in off a conference game, PU falls to a miserable 11-40 SU and 16-34-1 ATS including a horrible 3-24 SU and 6-20-1 ATS provided the Boilers own a conference won/loss percentage less than .500.

Defensively, the Boilermakers (ranked first in the Big 10 and 15th nationally in scoring allowing 62.2 ppg) got the best of the Hawkeyes in the first meeting this season limiting them to just 68 points. On Senior Night in Iowa City, it will be the Big 10’s top-ranked scoring offense (78.1 ppg) that gets the last laugh. Take Iowa. Thanks and best of luck, Tom.
