Riding high on a 10-2 SU and 9-2 ATS run in its last 12 games and off Saturday’s blowout victory at Oregon State, USC will return home and do a number on visiting Utah. The Utes make the trek to Los Angeles off a pair of SU and ATS home wins over Washington and Washington State and they are in perfect position to fall.
Finding motivation for this contest will be easy for the Men of Troy. Last year, the Trojans lost a pair to the Utes and own a dismal 2-10 SU and ATS record in the last 12 meetings. That bad run for USC is going to change on Thursday night. Since March 1st, 2017, the Men of Troy have played well as a favorite posting a respectable 47-12 SU and 34-24-1 ATS record. In this run fighting a Pac-12 foe, the Trojans improve to a money-making 26-6 SU and 21-10-1 ATS including 24-5 SU and 20-8-1 ATS provided they arrive off a conference game. With those three parameters in play and USC favored by -6 or more, this team trend jets to a solid 12-3-1 ATS.
The road hasn’t been kind to visiting Utah either. As a guest, the Utes are just 14-20 SU and 15-19 ATS in their last 34 games including a stiff 2-8 SU and ATS in this set fighting a foe that carries a team won/loss percentage of .770 or better. Even worse, when shagging +5 or more and going into revenge, Utah has been a horrible investment posting a pitiful 4-29 SU and 10-22-1 ATS record. In this setting holding a team won/loss percentage of .501 or better, the Utes drop to a nasty 0-18 SU and 2-15-1 ATS including 0-13 SU and 1-11-1 ATS in this set if they are fighting a Pac-12 foe.
