#915 Yankees with Fried (-135) over Rangers with Corbin at 8:05 PM EST
After experiencing three consecutive losses at Miami, the New York Yankees will travel to Texas aiming to secure an important victory against the Rangers. Currently trailing the Red Sox and Blue Jays in the AL East and resting a whopping 4.5-games back from the top spot, the Yankees need a win to remain competitive within the division.

Veteran left-hander Max Fried is scheduled to start for New York. In the 2025 season, Fried has made 22 starts, allowing 39 earned runs and 106 hits across 134.0 innings. He has recorded 125 strikeouts and 32 walks, resulting in a 12-4 record and a 2.62 ERA. In his last three outings—against the Devil Rays, Blue Jays, and Cubs—Fried allowed nine earned runs and 16 hits over 14.0 innings, posting a 1-2 record with a 5.79 ERA.

For Texas, left-hander Patrick Corbin will take the mound. Corbin has completed 20 starts this year, yielding 46 earned runs and 107 hits in 109.2 innings. He has struck out 93 batters and issued 32 walks, compiling a 6-7 record and a 3.78 ERA. During July, Corbin logged five starts, permitting seven earned runs and 24 hits in 27.1 innings, which equates to a 2-0 record and a 2.30 ERA.

Both starting pitchers are capable of delivering strong performances, and recent trends provide further insights. The Yankees have won 244 of their last 450 games overall, 111 of their last 203 following a loss, 120 of their last 225 as visitors, and 182 of their last 313 against non-division opponents. Conversely, Texas has lost 33 of its last 56 games when playing as a home underdog.

Given their current standings in the division, the Yankees will respond positively after being swept by the Marlins. Take New York with Fried. Thanks and best of luck, Tom.
