TOM STRYKER’S FREE BASKETBALL SELECTION FRIDAY, MARCH 14TH

#810 GEORGE MASON (-3′) over George Washington at 5 PM EST
Off back-to-back straight up wins over LaSalle and Richmond (and a string of six consecutive pointspread losses), George Mason will have no trouble extending the margin against George Washington in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament. The Revolutionaries enter this battle off three straight wins and covers and head coach Chris Caputo and his men will have problems in this spot.

In the last five games in this series, the Patriots have come out on top inking a 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS record. Additionally, when priced as an underdog or a favorite of -10 or less and arriving off two or more pointspread losses, George Mason has been worth the wager posting a profitable 65-41-3 ATS mark including a reliable 58-34-2 ATS provided it is running the court against a conference foe. With those two parameters live and skipper Tony Skinn and his players going into revenge, this angle tightens up to a spectacular 31-16-2 ATS and is currently on a blistering 15-4-1 ATS run.

This is a tough wagering situation for GW. In the quarterfinals of the A-10 Conference Tournament, underdogs have struggled financially posting a feeble 54-71-5 ATS record. If our “play against” side is not off a blowout victory of 10 points or more, this technical situation falls to a miserable 19-37-3 ATS including a nasty 7-24-2 ATS provided they storm in off a pointspread win. Finally, in the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament, the Revolutionaries hold a poor 8-14 SU and 6-15-1 ATS mark in their last 22 battles including a woeful 7-12 SU and 3-15-1 ATS provided they are seeded at No. 11 or less.

The Patriots 15 conference wins came by an average of 6.7 points per game and that will be more than enough with this short pointspread. Take George Mason. Thanks and best of luck, Tom.
