#752 PURDUE (-10′) over USC at 9 PM EST
In a bad mood off that season-ending eight-point road loss at Illinois, Purdue will storm back with a phenomenal effort against USC. The Trojans enter this postseason battle off a 97-89 conference tournament win and cover over the Scarlet Knights and this is going to be a tremendous challenge for head coach Eric Musselman and his kids.

When these two teams crossed paths back on February 7th in West Lafayette, the Boilermakers (-13′) cruised to an easy 90-72 win and cover. Expect more of the same in this rematch. When coming off a straight up loss, drill sergeant Matt Painter and his boys have been a force posting a strong 121-54 SU and 93-73-3 ATS record. In this setting checking in off a conference game, PU improves to a powerful 87-42 SU and 73-53-3 ATS including a profitable 79-17 SU and 57-38-1 ATS provided it is priced as a favorite or a short underdog of +1.5 or less. Lastly, when coming off a beating of eight points or more and now priced as a hefty piece of chalk of -8 or more, the Boilers own a sizzling 25-9-1 ATS mark.

Kudos to USC for knocking off Rutgers. However, backing a Trojans bunch that holds a rough 2-6 SU and ATS record in their last eight games isn’t going to happen. To make matters worse, when priced as an underdog and arriving with confidence off a SU and ATS victory, the Men of Troy have been a bad investment inking a terrible 13-49 SU and 25-36-1 ATS mark including a horrible 6-28 SU and 11-23 ATS in their last 34 provided this is a conference battle. Finally, when running the court against a foe that arrives off a straight up loss, Coach Musselman and his boys hold a soft 25-36 ATS tally including a rough 9-21 ATS provided they storm in with steam off a straight up win.

Coach Painter and the Boilermakers have played very well in Gainbridge Fieldhouse posting an 8-2 SU record in their last 10 tries and they will have no trouble bouncing back and picking up the dub and cover here. Take Purdue. Thanks and best of luck, Tom.
