TOM STRYKER’S FREE BASKETBALL SELECTION TUESDAY, MARCH 12TH

#613 LOUISVILLE (+9′) over NC State at 4:30 PM EST
The Cardinals apply to a pair of conference tournament systems that hold profitable marks of 68-31 ATS and 80-45 ATS and the Redbirds are worth a look plus the points over the Wolfpack. NC State stumbles into this ACC battle on a woeful 0-4 SU and 1-3 ATS run, and head coach Kevin Keatts and his crew shouldn’t be laying points into anyone right now.

Louisville’s 0-7 SU and ATS record in its last seven games is certainly noted and respected. However, the Cards have been competitive in this series lately posting a nearly perfect 5-1 ATS mark in the last six meetings. Equally impressive, since 1997, single digit underdogs in the ACC Tournament that hit the hardwood off a SU an ATS loss hold a profitable 26-15-1 ATS mark including an elite 13-2 ATS provided they check in off the comforts of a home game. With those two parameters live and our “play on” side holding a team won/loss percentage less than .500, this technical situation tightens up to a golden 9-0 ATS.

Holding a feeble 21-39 ATS record in their last 60 battles, NC State hasn’t been the most reliable favorite lately. In this run stepping down in class and facing a foe that owns a team won/loss percentage of .500 or less, the Pack fall to a horrible 8-23 ATS including a nasty 1-9 ATS provided they take the floor without steam off a SU and ATS loss. Additionally, when matched up against a squad that carries both a team and pointspread won/loss percentage less than .500, Coach Keatts and his kids have been a poor investment posting a woeful 8-20 ATS tally including just 3-15 ATS if they are playing on the road or at a neutral site.

When these two ACC schools tangled inside the KFC Yum! Center back on January 13th, the Redbirds slipped by six points (89-83). This rematch will go down to the wire. Take Louisville. Thanks and best of luck, Tom.
