Off the seven-point home loss to Northwestern, Maryland will stand tall on Senior Day and pick up its sweet revenge against visiting Indiana. Back on December 1st, 2023, the Terrapins (+1.5) visiting Bloomington and left with a 65-53 defeat in their pocket. Head coach Kevin Willard and his troops will make sure the Hoosiers pay for that beating here.
The history in this series is certainly noted. The Turtles hold a surprising 1-5 SU and ATS mark in their last six against the Cream and Crimson. Fortunately, when priced as a home favorite and matched up against a foe that enters off a straight up win, Maryland holds a respectable 62-41-4 ATS record provided they are running the floor with four or more days of rest. In this setting priced competitively at -10 or less, the Terrapins improve to a rewarding 40-21-2 ATS including a lucrative 29-12 ATS provided they hit the hardwood off a conference game. Also, in their own backyard running with revenge, the Turtles hold a reliable 23-13-3 AS tally provided they check in off the comforts of a home game.
Kudos to Indiana for pulling off the home upset win over Wisconsin in its last contest. However, this is not the best wagering spot for the Hoosiers. As a road underdog checking in off a straight up win, head coach Mike Woodson and his boys hold a feeble 44-70-3 ATS record including a rough 37-69-3 ATS provided they are facing an opponent that holds a team won/loss percentage of .501 or better. With those two parameters in play and IU facing a foe that enters without steam off a straight up loss, this angle slips to a miserable 10-28-1 ATS including an ugly 7-27-1 ATS provided this is a conference game.
With a lone trip to Happy Valley scheduled for next Sunday, the Terrapins will stay focused and dominate in this huge payback opportunity. Take Maryland. Thanks and best of luck, Tom.
