Tom Stryker’s Free Basketball Play February 20th

TOM STRYKER’S FREE BASKETBALL SELECTION TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 20TH

#624 OHIO (-3′) over Kent at 7 PM EST
Back home for the first time since knocking off Miami on February 3rd and arriving without momentum off a pair of straight up road losses at Arkansas State and Toledo, Ohio will be anxious to get back on track when Kent visits on Tuesday evening. The Golden Flashes enter this MAC battle off a massive 38-point conference home win over the Huskies and this will prove to be a tough trip for head coach Rob Senderoff and his boys.

Even though the Bobcats won the January 26th meeting at Kent (+3′ won 71-64), the simple fact that head coach Jeff Boals and his crew own a weak 15-26 SU and 17-23-1 ATS mark in their last 41 battles will keep them focused on the task at hand. Ohio is locked into one of its best team roles, too. At home arriving without confidence off two or more straight up losses, the Bobcats hold a stunning 63-16 SU and 45-23 ATS record including a strong 45-13 SU and 41-17 ATS mark provided they storm in off a conference game. With those two parameters cranking away and Coach Boals and his boys facing a foe that arrives off the comforts of a home game, this situation improves to an elite 35-9 SU and 33-11 ATS.

Kudos to Kent for drilling Northern Illinois in its last contest. However, backing a Golden Flashes group that is currently on a soft 7-9 SU and 5-11 ATS run isn’t going to happen at the moment. Even worse, as a guest arriving off the comforts of a home game, Coach Senderoff and his crew hold a soft 23-42 SU and 26-37-1 ATS tally including a miserable 20-30 SU and ATS provided they are lined up against a conference foe. With those two parameters live and Kent storming the court off a blowout victory of nine points or more, this situation falls to a dismal 8-17 SU and 7-18 ATS.

Quietly, the Bobcats have assembled a profitable 19-4 SU and 16-6 ATS record inside the Convocation Center and the Green & White will sweep the season series. Take Ohio. Thanks and best of luck, Tom.
