#145 MINNESOTA (+1′) over Purdue at 3:30 PM EST
Off that frustrating one-point home loss to Illinois and with a serious test at Ohio State on deck, Minnesota will travel to West Lafayette and pull off this minor upset over Purdue. The Boilermakers storm into this Big 10 battle on a dismal 0-4 SU and 1-3 ATS run, and they shouldn’t be favored over anyone right now.

If the loss to the Fighting Illini won’t have the Golden Gophers fired up, then the memory of their 20-10 blemish at home to the Boilers last year will be more than enough to do the trick. Even with that blemish, head coach P.J. Fleck and his troops own a profitable 11-6 SU and 10-7 ATS mark in the last 17 meetings including a respectable 6-4 SU and 7-3 ATS provided they check in without confidence off a straight up loss. Also, since the start of the 2018 season, Minnesota has played decent football inking a 44-24 SU and 36-28-2 ATS tally including a profitable 20-7 SU and 18-8-1 ATS if it is lined up against a foe that arrives off a straight up loss. In this run priced as an underdog or a favorite of -14 or less, the Gophers improve to a solid 14-5 SU and 14-4-1 ATS.

This isn’t the best wagering situation for Purdue either. As a Big 10 host, the Boilermakers have lost their steam notching a weak 16-35 SU and ATS record in their last 51 games. In this run fighting a foe that carries a team won/loss percentage of .400 or better, head coach Ryan Walters and his troops fall to a woeful 9-30 SU and 10-29 ATS including a horrible 4-16 SU and 3-17 ATS provided their opponent carries a pointspread won/loss percentage less than .500. Finally, at home returning off two or more road wars, PU has struggled inking a soft 8-13-1 ATS tally.

The Golden Gophers need one more win to become bowl eligible and Coach Fleck would like to get victory No. 6 here considering they close with the Buckeyes and Badgers. Take Minnesota. Thanks and best of luck, Tom.
