TOM STRYKER’S FREE FOOTBALL SELECTION SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 24TH

#463 BUFFALO (-) over Washington at 1 PM EST
Back on track off last week’s blowout home win and cover over the Raiders, the Bills will travel to the nation’s capital and knock off this overachieving Commanders squad. Washington picked up a pair of season-opening wins over Arizona and Denver (two of the worst teams in the league) and head coach Ron Rivera’s men will have issues when they step way up in class and trade punches with a heavyweight like Buffalo.

Riding a 36-14 SU and 29-20-1 ATS record in their last 50 games, the Bills have certainly played well lately. As long as its opponent is not off a straight up win of four points or more, this team trend improves to a healthy 25-4 SU and 23-6 ATS including an outstanding 18-2 SU and ATS provided they arrive off a non-division battle. Equally impressive, in their last 16 games against teams from the NFC, head coach Sean McDermott and his squad own a profitable 13-3 SU and 11-4-1 ATS mark.

This isn’t the best technical spot for the Commanders either. When priced as an underdog of +6 or more, Washington has struggled lately notching a feeble 4-17 SU and 7-12-2 ATS tally. Additionally, when hosting a team from the AFC, Coach Rivera and his players carry a soft 16-25 SU and 13-23-5 ATS mark including a miserable 6-17 SU and 4-16-3 ATS if their opponent played in the comforts of home last. Finally, as a winning team, the Commanders hold a surprising 5-20-1 SU and 7-18-1 ATS when lined up against a foe that holds a team won/loss percentage of .500 or better including just 2-12 SU and 2-11-1 ATS provided this is a non-division contest.

Kudos to Washington for knocking off a couple of creampuffs. Matched up against one of the best in the NFL, the Commanders will show their true colors. Take Buffalo. Thanks and best of luck, Tom.
