TOM STRYKER’S FREE BASKETBALL SELECTION THURSDAY, MARCH 9TH

#745 SMU (+7′) over Central Florida at 3 PM EST
The Mustangs are locked into a pair of conference tournament systems that hold profitable marks of 66-31 ATS and 77-45 ATS and they are in prime position to pull off this minor upset. Even though the Knights enter this contest off a massive 26-point home win over the Pirates, backing a UCF squad in the role of a favorite that stumbled down the stretch inking a weak 4-9 SU and 5-8 ATS record isn’t going to happen.

Revenge motivation will certainly keep SMU focused on the task at hand. When these two teams crossed paths back on January 8th, the Ponies (+9′) got smashed 85-53 in Orlando. Even with that blemish, SMU still owns a respectable 11-5 SU mark in the last 16 meetings. Additionally, when hitting the hardwood off three or more straight up losses, the Mustangs hold a money-making 32-18-1 ATS record including an elite 18-4 ATS in their last 22 in this setting provided they are not going into revenge.

Sporting a soft 3-6 ATS tally in their last nine tries, Central Florida hasn’t exactly been a solid investment in the AAC Tournament. To make matters worse, when priced as a competitive favorite of -9.5 or less, the Knights have struggled inking a weak 5-13 ATS mark in their last 18 battles. In this run going into revenge, UCF falls to a shocking 0-7 ATS. Finally, when coming off a blowout win of 20 points or more and now facing a foe off a pointspread loss, the Knights hold a poor 4-11 ATS tally.

The Mustangs were competitive all season long with 13 games decided by five points or fewer and they’ll be sure to give the Knights fits here. Take SMU. Thanks and best of luck, Tom.
