TOM STRYKER’S FREE BASKETBALL SELECTION SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 18TH

#724 ALABAMA (-18′) over Georgia at 6 PM EST
Off the ugly 68-59 loss in Knoxville to the Volunteers and still locked into the top spot (for now) in both polls, Alabama will absolutely destroy visiting Georgia early Saturday evening. The Bulldogs enter this SEC battle off the comforts of three straight home games and a pair of straight up wins over the Wildcats and Tigers and they are in prime position to get blasted here.

If the blemish to Tennessee won’t have Alabama fired up, then the memory of the Tide’s 82-76 road loss to the ‘Dawgs (as a -14.5-point favorite back on January 25th, 2022), will be more than enough to ignite the emotional fuse. As you know, the Elephants are enjoying a phenomenal season holding an elite 22-4 SU and 16-10 ATS record through their first 26 games including a reliable 12-1 SU and 10-3 ATS in conference play. Equally impressive, when coming off straight up loss of nine points or more, the Crimson Tide have responded by notching a reliable 39-20 SU and 35-21-2 ATS mark including a profitable 22-9 SU and ATS provided they weren’t priced as a pup of +6 or more last.

Kudos to Georgia for knocking off Kentucky and LSU. However, backing a Bulldogs team that is on a woeful 22-39 SU and ATS run in their last 61 games isn’t going to happen. In this run competing against an opponent that was on the road last, the ‘Dawgs fall to a horrible 5-16 SU and 4-17 ATS including a pathetic 0-12 SU and 1-11 ATS provided they are priced as an underdog of +22 or less. Also, when storming the court with momentum off two or more straight up wins, UGA holds a rough 18-22 SU and 14-24 ATS mark including a stiff 13-20 SU and 9-24 ATS provided its opponent is not off two or more straight up losses.

When coming off their previous three straight up losses this season, the Tide responded by winning all three of their next battles by an average of 26.3 points per game. Take Alabama. Thanks and best of luck, Tom.
