#959 LA DODGERS with Gonsolin (-184) over Colorado with Marquez at 3:10 PM EST
After getting spanked 5-3 in the Rocky Mountains yesterday, the Dodgers will get after it with the series win on the line. The Rockies have dropped seven of their last 10 games and they’ll fall hard here especially after whipping Clayton Kershaw on Saturday.

Taking the mound for the visitors will be powerful right-hander Tony Gonsolin. In 2022, No. 26 has made 18 starts for LA and allowed only 25 earned runs and 61 hits in 99.2 innings. Gonsolin fanned 90 and issued 27 free passes on his way to a stunning 11-1 mark with an elite 2.26 ERA. The road has been kind to Tony too. As a guest, Gonsolin has surrendered only 15 earned runs and 34 hits in 45.2 frames. That equates to a 4-0 record with a 2.96 ERA.

Grabbing the pearl for the home team will be righty German Marquez. To date, No. 48 has gotten his number called 19 times this season and been popped for 64 earned runs and 119 hits in 109.2 innings of work. Marquez struck out 91 and walked 38 on his way to a 6-8 tally with a 5.25 ERA. Tossing inside Coors Field has been a problem for German as well. At home, Marquez has been mauled for 41 earned runs and 78 hits in 60.3 frames. That’s bad enough for a 2-4 tally with an ugly 6.12 ERA.

Plenty of powerful team trends support this MLB Best Bet. Los Angeles has tasted victory in seven of its last nine in the fourth game of a series, 43 of its last 59 when matched up against division foes, 58 of its last 83 when playing on Sunday, and 36 of its last 51 checking in off a loss. On the other side of the field, Colorado has slipped in 21 of its last 31 coming off a win and 47 of its last 65 in this series.

Off the blemish to the Rocks in their last battle, the Dodgers will grab the dub here and leave with the series victory. Take Los Angeles with Gonsolin. Thanks and best of luck, Tom.
