#835 SOUTH DAKOTA ST (-12′) over Denver at 9 PM EST
Since falling at Missouri State back on December 15th, South Dakota State has inked a stunning 12-0 SU and 7-5 ATS record in its last 12 games. Matched up against a Denver squad that enters this contest on a 1-3 SU run and off an 11-point road loss at North Dakota State, the Jackrabbits will roll to another comfortable win and cover here.
Back on January 15th, these two Summit League schools met at Frost Arena in Brookings and SDSU picked up an easy 80-62 win. Counting that dub, the Jackrabbits have now won nine straight in this series by an average of 13.7 points per game. Equally impressive, when coming off a conference road game, South Dakota State has been a real money-maker notching a profitable 61-32-1 ATS tally including an elite 45-18 ATS in this run provided head coach Eric Henderson and his kids are priced as a favorite of -15 or less.
This is a terrible wagering spot for Denver too. Since January 8th, 2020, Summit League home dogs that are matched up against a conference foe that arrives with steam off a straight up win hold a soft 10-39 SU and 19-29-1 ATS record. As long as our “play against” host does not hit the hardwood off a blowout loss of 12 points or more, this situation tightens up to a stiff 7-27 SU and 10-23-1 ATS including an ugly 2-15 SU and 3-13-1 ATS provided they have four or more days of rest. Lastly, when holding a team won/loss percentage less than .500, the Pioneers own a horrible 3-19 SU and 5-13-1 ATS provided they are stepping up in class and fighting a foe that holds a team won/loss percentage of .801 or higher.
Defensively, head coach Jeff Wulbrun’s stop-unit has allowed an average of 73.1 points per game this season. That spells trouble especially matched up against a Jackrabbits offense that averages a stunning 87.0 points per game. Take South Dakota State. Thanks and best of luck, Tom.
