Tom Stryker’s Free Basketball Play December 1st

TOM STRYKER’S FREE BASKETBALL SELECTION WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 1ST

#712 LOYOLA CHICAGO (-18) over Indiana St at 8 PM EST
Off an unsuccessful trip to the Bahamas in the Battle 4 Atlantis where the Ramblers dropped two of three, look for first-year head coach Drew Valentine to have his troops well prepared and ready for this important Missouri Valley Conference game. Indiana State makes the trek to Gentile Arena on a dismal 0-3 SU and ATS run, and things will go from bad to worse here for the Sycamores.

Since falling to Davidson on this floor back on December 22nd, 2019, Loyola Chicago has quietly ripped off 26 straight home wins (14-10 ATS). Equally impressive, in MVC play battling an opponent that arrives without confidence off a straight up loss, the Ramblers hold a solid 29-7 SU and 21-13-2 ATS mark including an elite 14-2 SU and 12-3-1 ATS if their foe arrives off two or more blemishes. Finally, in their own backyard checking in off a blowout win of 10 points or more and running against an opponent that sports a team won/loss percentage less than .600, Loyola holds a reliable 15-4 ATS tally including a nearly perfect 9-1 ATS provided they are running with four or more days of rest.

This isn’t the best wagering spot for ISU either. On the Valley road, the Sycamores have struggled inking a terrible 15-37 SU and 20-31-1 ATS record in their last 52 games. In this role holding a team won/loss percentage of .420 or better, State falls to a woeful 11-30 SU and 14-26-1 ATS including an ugly 2-14 SU and 4-12 ATS provided their opponent enters with confidence off a straight up win. Also, Missouri Valley Conference road teams that take the court off two or more straight up losses own a horrible 14-62 SU and 28-45-3 ATS mark provided they are running against a conference foe that arrives off a SU and ATS win and four or more days of rest. This MVC situation is actually on a miserable 1-24 SU and 5-17-3 ATS run in its last 25 tries.

As of November 28th, the Coach Valentine’s Ramblers owned the best overall mark in the Valley, and they will be focused on starting conference play with a dominant performance. Take Loyola Chicago. Thanks and best of luck, Tom.
