TOM STRYKER’S FREE FOOTBALL SELECTION SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23RD

#331 OHIO ST (-21) over Indiana at 7:30 PM EST
Since losing at home to Oregon, Ohio State has ripped off four consecutive straight up wins (3-1 ATS) and outscored its opponents 218-57 in the process. Off a week of rest, the Buckeyes will have no trouble steamrolling this struggling Hoosiers bunch. Indiana is out of the gate with a 2-4 SU and 0-5 ATS record, and the Big Red will have all kinds of problems trying to stop this Big 10 heavyweight.

There are a number of quality technical situations that line up on this wager. Since 1989, these two conference warriors have met 27 times and OSU has been in complete control inking a 27-0 SU and 15-11-2 ATS record. In Bloomington, the Buckeyes have played very well too notching a 12-0-1 SU and 10-3 ATS mark in their last 13 visits. Equally impressive, in the regular season running with rest, Ohio State holds a magnificent 16-0 SU and 10-6 ATS record. Also, on the road battling a foe that checks in without confidence off a straight up loss, the Buckeyes own a strong 58-9 SU and 42-24-1 ATS mark in their last 67 games.

This is a terrible spot for IU too. Inside Memorial Stadium tackling an opponent that checks in with plenty of steam off two or more straight up wins, the Hoosiers have been at their financial worst inking a horrible 10-51 SU and 17-42-1 ATS record in their last 61 games. In this role priced between -2 and +24, the Big Red fall to a nasty 2-47 SU and 10-38 ATS. Also, in conference play tackling a foe that arrives off a pointspread win, Indiana owns a dismal 60-90-2 ATS mark including a poor 35-65-1 ATS at game seven or later.

The Hoosiers will hit the field with plenty of energy and emotion early. Unfortunately, that won’t be enough. The Buckeyes have personnel advantages on both sides of the ball, and they will run away with this contest in the second half. Take Ohio State. Thanks and best of luck, Tom.
