TOM STRYKER’S FREE BASKETBALL SELECTION WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 10TH
#697 WISCONSIN (-11) over Nebraska at 9:30 PM EST
The Badgers have surprisingly lost their last two road games by double-digits including Saturday’s shocking 75-60 blowout loss at Illinois. Off that blemish, the UW will have no trouble racing past the Cornhuskers. Nebraska has dropped seven straight and enters this Big 10 battle off an ugly 79-61 road loss at Minnesota. Rest assure, the Big Red will get slammed again here.
Based on recent results, Wisconsin applies to a pair of strong college basketball systems that hold elite marks of 35-7 ATS and 83-43 ATS. In addition, when coming off a straight up loss, the Badgers have been worth a peek notching a sensational 11-1 SU and 10-1-1 ATS tally in their last 12 games including a golden 10-0-1 ATS provided Wisky was not priced as an underdog of +9 or more last. Finally, as a road favorite, Wisconsin owns a reliable 13-5-1 ATS mark provided its opponent played on the road in their previous battle.
In case you haven’t noticed, Nebraska is having all kinds of problems on the basketball court right now. Since January 2nd, 2019, the Cornhuskers are on a disturbing 19-50 SU and 23-41-1 ATS run including a woeful 14-21 SU and 8-23 ATS if they are playing in their own backyard. With those two parameters live and Nebish not off a blowout loss of 22 points or more, this team trend falls to a pitiful 6-23 ATS and is currently on a terrible 1-12 ATS run. Also, in Big 10 play, the Big Red own a black-and-blue 0-24 SU and 9-15 ATS tally in their last 24 conference games (avg loss 14.7 ppg) including a nasty 0-10 SU and 1-9 ATS at home.
The Badgers close their season with five ranked Big 10 teams in their final six games and they simply can’t afford to take the Cornhuskers lightly with that much power on deck. Take Wisconsin. Thanks and best of luck, Tom.
