Checking in off a pair of wins over Oakland and with nearly three weeks of rest, UIC will have no trouble picking up where it left off and pound Purdue Fort Wayne. The Mastodons enter this contest with a 2-5 SU and 2-4 ATS record and a pair of straight up losses to Northern Kentucky and they don’t match up well at all in this contest.
Technically speaking, this is a solid spot for the Flames. When hitting the hardwood off two or more straight up wins and lined up against an opponent that arrives off a straight up loss, UIC owns a profitable 43-25-1 ATS mark in its last 69 lined games. In this role priced as an underdog or a favorite of -6 or less, the Flames improve to a healthy 36-17 ATS.
Purdue Fort Wayne’s problems have been obvious this season. The Mastodons can’t defend (allow an avg of 77.7 ppg) and they don’t take care of the basketball (avg 20.3 turnovers per game). That’s a bad combination and the main reason why the ‘Dons have dropped five of their first seven games. Also, when competitively priced between -2 and +4.5, head coach Jon Coffman’s kids hold a feeble 4-11 ATS tally including 2-8 ATS in this setting if their opponent arrives off a straight up win.
On the road priced as a favorite or an underdog of +7.5 or less, the Flames have been sizzling hot inking a phenomenal 33-15 ATS mark including 24-7 ATS if their opponent holds a team won/loss percentage less than .500.
