#295 C MICHIGAN (+2′) over Ohio at 7 PM EST
The Chippewas and Bobcats will get after it under the lights inside Kelly/Shorts Stadium for the first meeting since 2017 and it will be head coach Jim McElwain’s troops that will come out on top. Ohio makes the trek to Mount Pleasant minus the services of quarterback Nathan Rourke and its offense will struggle coming out of the gate.

Historically speaking, the Chippewas have dominated this series posting a solid 25-5-2 SU record in their last 32 meetings including a sensational 14-2-1 SU if they’re playing in their own backyard. The price is right too. When laying points or grabbing +2.5 or less, CMU has been worth the wager posting a money-making 58-38-2 ATS mark. Also, in season openers, Central Michigan has been worth a wager lately inking a respectable 8-4 SU and 3-1 ATS record in its last nine tries. Finally, last year at home in MAC play, the Chippewas post a perfect 4-0 SU and ATS record and won all four battles by an average of 31.8 points per game.

Without Rourke behind center, Ohio will be looking for leadership on the offensive side of the ball. That’s a bad thing especially when you’re forced to go on the conference road in a season opener. Technically speaking, this is a rough spot for the Bobcats too. According to the Team Stryker College Football Database, head coach Frank Solich’s crew holds a dismal 27-38 ATS record on the MAC road provided they are priced as an underdog or a favorite of -7 or less. As long as its opponent did not play in the comforts of home last, this team trend falls to a woeful 17-35-2 ATS. Lastly, when priced as a favorite, Ohio holds a feeble 4-8 ATS mark in its last 12 tries.

Regardless of who plays quarterback for CMU (David Moore, Daniel Richardson, or Ty Brock), it will be the loaded Chippewas defense that helps key this upset victory. Take Central Michigan. Thanks and best of luck, Tom.

Six games highlight Wednesday’s MAC card and Stryker has isolated a side in one game that will bring home the cash. A phenomenal 42-19 ATS conference angle supports this selection along with one rare 7-0 ATS perfect team trend. Grab Tom’s NCAA Ultimate MAC Investment for $30.
