#704 UTAH ST (-) over New Mexico at 9 PM EST
The Aggies apply to a conference tournament system of mine that boasts a rewarding 51-21 ATS record and they’ll do a number on the overachieving Lobos. New Mexico enters this Mountain West Conference Tournament game off back-to-back SU and ATS wins over Utah State and San Jose State and the Lobos are ripe for a whipping.

It certainly won’t take anything to get USU fired up for this battle. In its last regular season game at UNM, the Aggies were an eight-point favorite and lost outright 66-64. Thankfully, revenging MWC teams that are battling in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament hold a respectable 24-15 ATS record provided they check in without confidence off a straight up loss. If our “play on” side is matched up against an opponent that is seeded at No. 4 or less, this conference tournament angle improves to a solid 22-12 ATS. Also, as a favorite in the Mountain West Conference Tournament, Utah State holds a reliable 7-1 SU and 6-2 ATS mark in its last eight tries.

Since the start of the 2018-19 season, New Mexico has been just an average basketball team notching a soft 33-31 SU and 26-31 ATS record. In this run playing on the road or at a neutral site, the Lobos own a feeble 9-21 SU and 10-18 ATS tally including a horrible 1-15 SU and 2-13 ATS if they’re battling a foe that owns a team won/loss percentage of .501 or better. Also, as an underdog priced at +3 or more checking in off three or more pointspread wins, UNM carries a timid 5-18 SU and 7-16 ATS mark including a shocking 1-9 SU and ATS if its opponent was on the road in their last game.

The Aggies are the defending Mountain West Conference Tournament champions and, in a right-back revenge situation, they’ll absolutely crush this tired Lobos bunch. Take Utah State. Thanks and best of luck, Tom.
