This is an awful spot for Loyola Marymount. According to my notes, the Lions hold a horrible 59-94-3 ATS mark at home when checking in without confidence off a straight up loss. In this role battling an opponent that scoots in off two or more straight up wins, LMU falls to a woeful 8-31 SU and 10-27-1 ATS. In addition, West Coast Conference home dogs that hit the hardwood without confidence off two or more straight up losses hold an ugly 91-128-1 ATS record. If our “play against” host is fighting a foe that played in the comforts of home last, this situation drops to a woeful 39-69 ATS including 25-51 ATS if their opponent owns four or more days of rest.
The second-place Cougars own a one-game advantage over third-place Pacific and St. Mary’s and they need this victory in order to hold on to that important edge in the conference standings.
