TOM STRYKER’S FREE BASKETBALL SELECTION WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 22ND
#836 DEPAUL (-) over Creighton at 9 PM EST
Back on track off a huge home upset win over Butler on Saturday, DePaul will keep it rolling when Creighton visits the Windy City on Wednesday. The Bluejays check in off a 78-74 home win over the Providence Friars and they will have their hands full against the Blue Demons.
Revenge motivation will be riding high with DePaul. In case you haven’t been paying attention, the Blue Demons own a shocking 0-10 SU and 1-9 ATS record in their last 10 games against the Bluejays. Thankfully, head coach Dave Leitao’s boys have played their best basketball in years this season posting a solid 13-5 SU and 9-5-1 ATS record. In this run matched up against an elite opponent that holds a team won/loss percentage of .701 or better, DePaul has posted a golden 6-0 ATS mark. Also, since February 12th, 2019, Big East hosts in conference play have been a solid investment posting a reliable 45-22 SU and 41-23-3 ATS record. If our “play on” home team is battling with revenge, this conference situation tightens up to a respectable 21-5 SU and 19-5-2 ATS including a nearly perfect 13-1 SU and 12-1-1 ATS provided their opponent arrives with four or more days of rest.
True road games have given Creighton fits lately too. According to the Team Stryker Database, the Bluejays own a dismal 10-21 SU and 10-20-1 ATS in their last 31 games as a guest including a pitiful 3-11 SU and 2-11-1 ATS if they own a conference won/loss percentage of .500 or better. With those two parameters in play and Creighton priced as an underdog or favorite of -1.5 or less, this team trend drops to a woeful 0-11 SU and 0-10-1 ATS. Please note: Those 11 losses came by an average of 13.2 points per game.
The Blue Demons are off to their best start since the 2004-05 season. In a mayor payback setting, Coach Leitao’s troops will finally settle this old score. Take DePaul. Thanks and best of luck, Tom.
The Team Stryker Power Club picked up a nice blowout winner on Utah State last night (compliments of Lee Stryker) and have quietly posted a reliable 4-2 ATS mark in their last six releases. Trey has zeroed in on one college team in a magnificent 21-1 ATS situation and he’s prepared to cash this elite wager. Grab Trey’s College Blowout of the Month for $30.
